Dead Sea Mud - Speeds Up Skin Renewal and Improves Circulation

The Dead Sea has a long history and is credited with being one of the world's first health resorts. Cleopatra, when writing to Mark Anthony, demanded that he capture the Dead Sea area so that she could control its health giving resources. The Dead Sea is world renowned for its mineral riches including calcium, potassium and magnesium. Dead Sea mud contains large amounts of salts and minerals, all of which are vital to our body's health. The salts and minerals within the mud and salty waters of the Dead Sea have scientifically proven therapeutic advantages, both as a body cleanser and for the treatment of acne, psoriasis and other skin disorders. A recent study followed the incidence of psoriasis in a group of 64 people who underwent treatment with Dead Sea minerals and exposure to the sun in the area. What it does

Usage of Dead Sea salt as a body scrub, with the addition of essential oils such as lavender, tea tree oil, cleans and nourished the skin, cleans the pores and combats psoriasis and acne. Dead Sea salt is available in various grades of coarseness with the finest grades being best for a body scrub and the courser textured salt is best for treating thickened skin on the soles of the feet.

When using a Dead Sea mud facial mask, the mud binds itself to the dead skin and penetrates into the pores, sticking to all the impurities and toxins buried there. As the mask dries, it pulls away all the dead skin and other impurities which are then washed away when the mask is rinsed off.

Using a Dead Sea face mask removes dead skin gently, the mud's minerals are absorbed into the skin and improve blood circulation, it adds moisture and nutrients to the skin, and overall, encourages the growth of new, healthy skin.

As with all natural cosmetic or therapeutic products - check the ingredients first. Natural Dead Sea mud should have only one ingredient - mud! If there are any additives or chemicals - it's not "natural" and could possibly be harmful to your delicate skin.
